#afterworkparty part 1... . My lovely colleagues asked me to bring my hoop in to work show them a few moves. So, once clinic closed I did just that, whilst living out a small dream I've had since I began my hoop journey. . I've worked in this beautiful 19th century building for 5 years. I never tire of the way the light pours through the huge windows, the high ceilings, the original ornate plasterwork, fireplaces & staircases. And when I started hooping I fell even more in love with this space! I've dreamt of dancing here since I began my hoop journey. Last night I finally took the opportunity in front of the most lovely, supportive audience. It felt wonderful . "ooooh, I wish I could do that!" YOU CAN! My colleagues were enchanted. Their faces were lit up with smiles, joy, wonder. It feels so good to introduce people to the joys of hoop dance. I know how I felt when I first saw what could be done with this plastic circle And I'm always excited to witness the beginning of what I know can be a life changing experience for those who become devoted hoopers. Hoops are so much more than toys! I remember how excited, free & relieved I felt when I got my first hoop & started playing, finding my flow, expressing myself & truly connecting. Hooping has changed my life & saved me in so many ways. It's my dance partner, gym, meditation, therapy, escape, connection to myself & valuable link to other like minded souls . I still have that sense of wonder & magic when I watch all my flowmies do their thing, share their own style of flow & blow my mind with new tricks and what I love most is how much we're all rooting for each other to succeed, feel free, confident & at peace, inside & outside our sacred circles. I've made some amazing friends on my hoop journey, and continue to connect with beautiful souls. The hoop & flow community is a constant source of inspiration, love, support, joy & friendship. I'm delighted to be introducing two more special ladies to this world. The future is circular Thank you to all of my followers, friends & flowmies for all your love, support & inspiration. Then when I decided to go hoop I refused to stop even when my feet started getting demolished from sliding on the hot cement. ‼️TUTORIAL‼️ Escalator to elbow hooping prerequisites: upward escalator & elbow hooping. Discovered this in my flow last summer and had a few people ask for a tutorial then so here ya go...a year later TIPS left spinners: start on right side right spinners: start on left side you can try both sides tho! If you are comfortable hooping in both directions on your elbow, it’s hard but I did succeed after a bunch of tries ha! when you start the escalator immediately begin to bring your elbow to the sky to catch the hoop push with your forearm to continue elbow hooping to finish make sure to straighten your arm to have the hoop slide down to catch it behind your back Hope you all enjoy this tutorial!
