F L O W ❤️ || Ananda and the subtle art of listening to yourself❤️ (Those who know me well, know that I am not easily impressed...Experience, extensive travel, knowledge and high standards are to blame ...But Ananda Tinio blew me away‍♀️) The craze of having to have what I call a 'nanny coach' for pretty much every activity you happen to show a passing interest in, has, in my opinion, reached an all time high! So it is pretty refreshing to see these rules being broken, especially by someone whose job spec is to tell you what/how/when to do or not to do...I'll elaborate.☝️ I went to a flow yoga class here in Brussels, (where we celebrate our sixth year of teaching NLP and sharing the magic of Momentum Method) and was greeted by a grounding, cool, California meets Tibet type of a teacher aptly named Ananda.‍♀️ Ananda knows her shit. She is as bendy as the 80s plastic stripy straw, and as sturdy as an oak tree, yet, somewhere in between the bendy/sturdy appearance, lies a wise teacher who trusts that you, as a fully functioning adult, have, mastered the art of listening to yourself. After all, you managed to earn the money and afford to join the prestigious @yoga.room Brussels, you also managed to bring your bendy and LuluLemon clad ass to her class, so it is safe to assume that you know when asana is too ambitious and maybe not available to you...at least not today.‍♀️ I loved the class...It was supposed to be a simple yoga class, where you breathe in and out and OM and chant and you do your best to turn into a graceful looking pretzel without collapsing midway and disturb others on their way to reaching the flow with Ananda. Š j e z a Š L J A M || (I kako ga prepoznati i sprečiti da uđe u vaš život!) Jesam li vam ikada ispričala priču o tome kako sam naivno nasela na reči jednog polusveta...Elem, taj polusvet, za potrebe ove priče, gospođica Š, (skraćenica za Šljam), mi ispriča kako se divi mom radu, kako me već neko vreme prati, i obožava način na koji pišem, i moj ‘no bullshit’ stav, kako sam je pravi mentor i sijaset slatkorečivih komentara...Moj jebeni Ego, svako malo nasedne na lepe priče, jer, jebi ga, voli da čuje da to što radim odzvanja i da ima smisla... A u stvarnosti, gospođicu Š je bolela ona stvar za moj rad. Reči su kod nje poput verbalne dijareje, lagano i bez grča na licu kaže šta druga osoba želi da čuje, nafiluje priču samo tako... Iz ove perspektive mi je jasno da je jadna ta gospođica Š i njene metode obavijene velom straha, zavisti, ljubomore, gramzivosti... u engleskom jeziku postoji divna reč - Con Artist, tzv. Prevarant, operativni sociopata! Ima ih posvuda, internet je plodno polje za njih, a najviše vole da seju plitku pamet po društvenim mrežama ... Taj šljam neće imati nijednu lepu reč da kaže o ljudima u vašoj branši, a vas će veličati i dizati u nebesa. Slušaćete pažljivo, a svaki delić vašeg bića će vam govoriti da nešto tu ipak smrdi! Intuicija nikada ne laže! W O M E N 4 W O M E N || The amount of beauty, grace, magic I experienced during the past two weeks was simply incredibile! And as Tuesday arrived, and I was getting ready to go to a fabulous event at the Houses of Parliament (again) in London, to celebrate women, to celebrate resilience and challenges that women with ambitions and women who refuse to play small, face today. To cheer on women who support women, I was reminded of a time I came to this very Parliament in December 2017 to receive an award, and as life would have it, at the very same time, I got an invite to attend an event in my home country, Serbia, organized by an association claiming to support and celebrate women entrepreneurs. I thanked and excused myself, explaining that I was in London, about to receive an award for my work in supporting women entrepreneurs. Now, one would expect a little feedback from a fellow female, by way of ‘thank you for replying’, or ‘we are sorry you won’t be able to join us this time’, maybe a little cheer and a ‘congratulations’ even...Instead, there was silence! Isn’t it ironic?! An entity supposedly created to support women, blatantly showing its inability to celebrate another woman’s success And that silence from a lady who invited me, just confirmed what most women face nowadays - support in a carefully styled narrative, but when it comes to actions, reality is somewhat different. Women I coach and mentor often share that, when it comes to starting a business or getting a promotion, it isn’t so much the patriarchy, but the jealousy and hatred they face from other women. Instead of cheering them, they gossip, they they spread lies, they create obstacles, and then, some of them create associations . And those associations, instead of working with and for women, end up working for themselves. So, let’s heal first. Let’s do the inner work and become wholesome integrated women.Then and only then can we offer real support! Until then, it’s just going to be a narrative with cute little catch phrases and buzz words. Because, a real woman opens the door for another woman and keeps it open..Just in case...I am in your corner cheering for you with doors wide open!
