But first, I am so sick of hearing certain foods are “bad for you.” What’s actually bad for you Linda, is overindulging more often than not and not being consistent in your eating habits or holding yourself accountable. When I lost over 35lbs, I was eating chocolate or something sweet every single day. It’s all about calories in VS calories out, which I thought was such a simple concept to grasp for most people! You can either choose to be so restrictive that you fail and cannot stick to healthy eating consistently OR you can choose to give yourself a small treat every day to avoid binging, thus creating successful and consistent healthy eating with long-term results! I always used to pick the first one and failed every time, just FYI.

Quite possibly the best dinner I’ve had in a long time. Loaded my plate with several faves for a slight switch up from my usual bro dinners (aka grilled protein, vegetable, and complex carb). I generally stick to the same major themes for dinners to keep my brain from exploding. But adding in variety here and there is always nice!

If you guys keep up with me at all you know that I have my fair share of drinks Drinking is a super personal decision and, in moderation, can absolutely be a part of a healthy lifestyle.
A few things to keep in mind:
Balance is key You don’t need to cut out alcohol completely if you’re looking to make a fitness lifestyle change, just like you don’t need to cut out entire food groups (thank you #iifym). As with anything else, practice self-discipline, but don’t beat yourself up if you overdo it on date night or vacay!
Have a glass of water in between drinks and eat a nutrient dense meal with your beverages.
If you know you’ll be having a drink or 2 later, plan accordingly Alcohol doesn’t really fit into a macro group, but there are a few different ways to track it.
HOW TO TRACK ALCOHOL:
You may have to guesstimate when drinking out at a restaurant. I personally weigh my drinks when at home and scan into @myfitnesspal to see how many oz=100cal. I used “create a food” for each of these so I can easily track!
For every 100 calories of alcohol, you can track as the following⤵️
25g carbs,
11g fats, OR
15g carbs and 5g fats

Seen a lot of you rave about the premier protein shakes and adding it to your coffee, but for me- they seem high in protein and I would rather save that for something more appetizing so these @atkinsnutritionals Protein shakes work for me and the macros are great! -

It took me a LONG time to accept that I was my worst enemy. I blamed a lot of people for my poor decisions, and I blamed the for my less than favorable circumstances.
Truth is, I was just lost. I had no confidence. I depended on others for happiness. I loved a lifestyle that allowed me to block out the pain of the internal trauma I was dealing with..
That lifestyle consisted of isolation, little sleep, little health/fitness activities, and poor nutrition.
Now my life is completely different. I get adequate sleep … 8 hours. I exercise 6 hours a week, and my nutrition is ON POINT.
One thing that allowed me to transform while working 40+ hours a week while going to school was a schedule, organization, and accountability! I mapped out my entire day with a schedule. Gym at this time. Eat at this time. Work at this time. Grocery shop on this day at this time. Meal prep at this time on these two days. I DID NOT ♀️deviate from that schedule. On top of that, I had someone take the guess work out about what to train and what to eat, so all I had to do was read what was on a piece of paper and RESULTS followed.
Not everyone can afford a coach. Technically I couldn’t either at the time, but I also couldn’t afford not to have one. I couldn’t continue gaining the weight and I couldn’t continue not having someone watch over me with my best interest at heart.
If you are busy boss/boss lady that doesn’t have time to work on you, I am here to tell you THAT YOU DO. You just may need to look at your life and see if you can organize it a bit better!
