So we’re getting there! The hallway is nearly finished with new dado rails installed, a replacement slimmer anthracite radiator and a new shoe rack that I added metal pin feet to as the feet that came with it didn’t reach above our Victorian skirting boards. I love it. The walls need a fresh coat of paint, filler and then paint on the dado rail, but I love it. Plus the rest of the woodwork that had metres and metres of old BT phone cables on it which ripped the paint off when removed. Painting woodwork is so dull! But so nice coming in and popping shoes away from view. Of course it’s rarely this tidy, any sort of shelf and we fill it. . The hooks I got from a skip in Bristol (with permission) from an old school being renovated. I’ve had them for 15+ years and love them. They’d be easy to make though, the wood is definitely not antique. They still have teacher name tags on!. . Radiator: @we_are_soak . Shoe cabinet: IKEA. Pin legs: Amazon. Key cabinet: IKEA. (I don’t tan my face) •Print out the school supply lists •Clean out dresser drawers for the kids •Enjoy.these.crazy.days. •Say YES as much as possible •Be present over perfect . Thankfully the only schedules we’ve been following are the kids’ camps or swim meets. I happen to love having the kids home, although it can get crazy. I know soon, they won’t want to spend their time with me, and I want to embrace these crazy beautiful messy days.
