What does it mean to TRANSFORM Well, I'm 8 days into my 21 day brain detox and I can tell you that I've spent more time than ever before being mindful, having positive affirmations, visualizing my future in a hopeful way, declaring that I am "safe, healthy, free,  transforming, passionate, and protected OVER AND OVER AND OVER, and last but certainly not least PRAYING all day long... change is occurring! . . I believe it speaks to my desire to transform very loud and clear when I walked into my counseling session yesterday and felt like I didn't belong. It has helped me tremendously when I am at my weakest, and will continue to do so (in smaller doses), but the feeling I got walking in was strange and uncomfortable. I felt myself shrinking back into a state of being "broken." The fact that the smell of the place hit me like a ton of bricks and made me feel meek was a giant red flag of both disagreement and affirmation. . . ^^^ yes, those are polar opposite feelings but I promise you I felt them both at once. The disagreement spoke to me in the sense that I felt my body quite literally "disagreeing" with me being there.  It was saying, you aren't the broken and meek girl you were before. The affirmation then spoke to me in a echoed sense saying, I'm "affirming" that you've grown and you are so much stronger and motivated than you were. A lightbulb hallelujah moment. . . So what exactly have I been doing every day non stop? Telling myself that I'm not in control of my circumstances but I'm in control of my reactions. Replacing every toxic thought that creeps into my head with a positive visualization and a follow up scripture.
