На фоне золота-бриллиантов, сияющих изо всех витрин, он выглядел более, чем скромно. Ребенком я была образцовым и гида слушала внимательно. Но из всей экскурсии мне в память врезался только рассказ о том, что пушинки одуванчика настоящие и что их каким-то невероятным образом не только закрепили на серебряных «ножках», но и украсили напоминающими росу бриллиантами. Для меня было каким-то невероятным открытием, что роскошь – это не всегда дорогие материалы. Это может быть уникальная идея или уникальное мастерство. – Я очень долго была уверена, что «наш» одуванчик – абсолютно уникальный. Но это не так. Фаберже выпускал подобные изделия с 1902 года. Их можно увидеть и в других музеях (2-4) и даже частных коллекциях (5). Были даже броши-одуванчики (6). – И вот что интересно, пару лет назад в музее Виктории и Альберта проходила выставка «Что такое роскошь?» На ней были представлены экспонаты, которые кураторы считали предметами роскоши благодаря очень различным качествам: традиции, ограниченности ресурса и так далее. Самым ярким экспонатом на этой выставке был светильник с лампочками-одуванчиками (7-8).
