Inside of the cockpit of most general aviation aircraft, there are the throttles and a mixture of controls. The throttle controls the amount of fuel and the water that goes into the cylinders, while the mixture controls how much fuel is mixed with the air. In simple terms, the mixture controls the ratio between fuel and air. Typically, for every fuel molecule, there are 15 air molecules. The mixture adjust the amount of fuel necessary to maintain this ratio. The throttle, on the other hand, controls how much of the ratio is let into the cylinders. . ✈ The aircraft propeller consists of two or more blades and a central hub to which the blades are attached. Each blade of an aircraft propeller is essentially a rotating wing. As a result of their construction, the propeller blades are like airfoils and produce forces that create the thrust to pull, or push, the aircraft through the air. The engine furnishes the power needed to rotate the propeller blades through the air at high speeds, and the propeller transforms the rotary power of the engine into forward thrust. ✈ The chord line is an imaginary line drawn through the blade from its leading edge to its trailing edge. Because most propellers have a flat blade “face,” the chord line is often drawn along the face of the propeller blade. ✈ Pitch is not blade angle, but because pitch is largely determined by blade angle, the two terms are the vectors of propeller forces, each section of a propeller blade moves downward and forward. The angle at which this air (relative wind) strikes the propeller blade is its AOA. Stabilised Approach. ✈A modern procedure that is widely used is the stabilised approach.  In this case, the aeroplane descends from the lowest holding altitude (LHA) in the arrival stack and adopts a 300ft/nm rate of descent that is maintained all the way to the runway threshold.
