Let’s go Dallas Stars! Anyone watch the game last night? I’m not a huge hockey fan (although I did grow up in Canada), but I was proud to hear about their win last night. It would be awesome to see them go to the finals!

A woman who is genuine

Food so good, it doesn’t need a filter @bolsa_dallas is everything and and then some. Located in @bishopartsdistrict this restaurant gives new meaning to the phrase “farm to table”. The kitchen does not even have a freezer, everything is brought in that day locally, and some of the menu items are even named after where they get the ingredients from the outside may fool you, looking like a crumbling old warehouse but the inside is beautiful and bright and the kitchen sits as a main focus and this restaurant also serves as a wine bar pictured is the Berkshire Porkchop with cheddar and bacon grits and tomato-braised collard greens. It was delish! But the show stopper was the Beer Steamed Mussels with house made chorizo served in broth. Definitely a must and Definitely meant to share it’s at least 1lb in mussels lol a long with the fried olives. Taken last Thursday after all that rain in Dallas. I brought my wide angle and my telephoto, but both were not the focal length I needed. So, I ended up going with the wide angle and getting this minimalist composition that I actually really liked. What do you think? I might be going out with the right lens this week if we end up getting a lot of rain again.

HELLO HI APPRECIATION POST FOR YOU ALL. - - I don’t know why but this afternoon on my drive home I began crying tears of joy OUT OF NO WHERE. I thought about all of the love and support I’ve been receiving from folks lately and it just made me realize how TRULY BLESSED I am. I started this blog to display my “weekly cheat meals” back when I was a little meat head, afraid to eat outside of chicken and rice anddd going through possibly one of the worst break ups of my entire life. Back when my little girl was my plus one foodie date, ALMOST ALWAYS. Fun fact: I used to take pictures of children and their family thinking that was something I enjoyed.. I was wrong. Later down the road I met some people who inspired me to shoot food.. THEN, I took a trip to @seattlewashington , picked up my camera and never looked back. Now my camera eats first LOL. To say that I am obsessed with creating #foodporn photography is an understatement. Those yolk porn shots y’all see? GET ME SO HYPED. My website is finally up! It’s not fully complete but IT’S THERE and so is my work. My business cards came in the other day and I about cried. Photography has always been a huge passion of mine but I never imagined building a business around it. None of this would have never happened had it not been for y’alls love and support. I’ve met so many beautiful people through social and have worked with AMAZING companies along the way.. companies I never, EVER would have imagined working with in my entire life. Idk where my business will go after this but I just want to say thank you all. From the bottom of my heart.. thank you to all of the people who pushed me, friendships I’ve made, companies and restaurants / entrepreneurs that I have met along the way. I love you all SOOOO MUCH. ☀️CREATE YOUR OWN SUNSHINE ☀️ • Growing up with a broke teenage mom, moving to 8 schools by 3rd grade, this was a lesson I quickly learned & integrated into my life. You can’t always see the sunshine, but you can create your own sunshine & happiness amidst any situation. • One of my favorite ways to create sunshine is complimenting strangers. My @starbucks barista was a beautiful woman with so many gorgeous freckles on her face. I could have just said you’re pretty but I wanted it to be memorable & really make her feel good, so instead, I said, “your freckles are gorgeous.” • Her eyes & face lit up. I created sunshine for myself because I love the feeling of making others smile & I created sunshine for her by making her smile. Hopefully, she went on to create the sunshine for someone else. • So I challenge you to go out & create your own sunshine. Having a bad day? Turn it around.
