SPINE HEALTH
This one is very special to me, because I used to be the person who didn’t intentionally move the spine at all in the past.
I had issues with my back since I was 15. Laziness, doing breakdance without proper warmups, exercising to look good instead of feeling good, etc.
Because of that all I just decided I’m not gonna do any uncomfortable movements with my spine. Bending, twisting, extending... Oh boy how wrong I was.
But it’s okay cause all that made me realize that I need to change in order to be healthy and strong.
Our spine was created to move in all possible directions. Unlike many people think, our spine isn’t just vertebrae. There are also ligaments, intervertebral discs and joints. Our spine is composed to sustain all the movements and not only that. It actually requires movement to stay healthy and functional.
Most chronic pains and issues with your spine are there simply because you are not moving it.
I think it’s very sad that especially elderly generation simply accepts the fact that their back hurts when they bend down and they accept it as a normal thing.
There is nothing normal about it. The pain is just a message from your body. It’s asking for attention, and by attention I’m not talking about pills, supplements and creams. I’m talking the simplest thing you can do. Movement.
Remember that you are in charge and only you can decide how healthy your body is.
Time to make the right decision.

Since my account is still in the transition with the new username, my past posts haven’t reached to most of subscribers, so I may have to do this few more times with upcoming postings. As my account name changed, I would like to start posting with the fixed watermark with my new username. It would be wonderful if you can start recognizing and sharing my drawings with the new name. :) I realized that this change is giving me a chance to reflect my memories when I started this page to share my drawings. And how this Rainbow feather helped to build the foundation of this community to grow and expand.
I remembered that I started less than 5 subscribers when I started my page, just a few close friends and my sister :) I was very shy to share even with more friends as I had no idea and expectation that people would be interested in my drawings.
This was my first feather drawing I ever drawn and I fell in love with drawing feathers since then. Also this became the most beloved one of all my feather drawings by my subscribers. I know many of you found me through this Rainbow Feather drawing and I want to say Thank You again!

▫️Lie on your back with bent knees and feet flat on mat

▫️Bend elbows & place palms beside ears; (fingers point toward feet)

▫️Press lower back into mat; engage core & glutes; lift hips
.
▫️Pressing through hands & feet; lift body slightly off floor; place top of head on mat

▫️Take a few breaths here

▫️Lower forearms to mat (one at a time)

▫️Press forearms firmly into floor & lift chest to raise head off mat
