A wonderful end to an amazing visit! JCI Vice President Alejandra Castillo said farewell to JCI Dominica National Councillor James Rodney and the members after a successful visit in the Nature Island. Before leaving the West Indies our VP spent the afternoon in Barbados greeted by National President Khaleid Holder and JCI Barbados Local Executive Vice President Michael Mayers. The afternoon was spent having engaging discussions over a scrumptious lunch and sightseeing. Highlights from NVP Dorothy's visit to JCI Port-of-Spain Impactful, moving, productive, fun and inspiring are all words which effectively describe the official visit which was conducted over the last few days! NVP Dorothy's visit continued with JCI Impact training which she facilitated for the members of the Chapter who were able to learn a great deal from this course. The impact continued with the installation of Local President Jelani Reid and his Board of Directors. This was indeed a momentous occasion. On Saturday there was training of the JCI POS board officers followed by a fun and exciting team builiding adventure at Bmobile Escape the Movies. As the sun sets on NVP Dorothy's visit to JCI Tobago, here begins her journey of impact in JCI Port of Spain. Day 4 in the Capital of Paradise saw the final courtesy call with the Hon. Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly and JCI Tobago Senator, Kelvin V. Charles. This was followed by a touching farewell after the strong bonds formed from such a full, enriching and impactful official visit. The first day in JCI Port-of Spain was indeed a productive one with a courtesy visit to the Chairman of the Tunapuna/ Piarco Regional Corporation. Fruitful discussions were held with plans for the JCI West Indies 59th National Convention well underway. After which, our NVP savoured the peaceful ambience at the Mount Saint Benedict Abbey. Highlights from Day 3 of NVP Dorothy's Official Visit to JCI Tobago - the Capital of Paradise Yet another day of awesome impact, interaction and engagement! The day began with the continuation of JCI Tobago's Open Day at Goodwood High School. Here the students were able to learn more about active citizenship and were inspired to create positive change. JCI Tobago also launched their Inspire a Generation Project, which is a mentorship programme for young men. The NVP also had a courtesy visit with the Honourable Secretary Kwesi Des Vignes, Division of Infrastructure, Quarries and the Environment, Tobago House of Assembly. Of course, no visit is complete without some fun in the sun. Our NVP was taken for a scenic drive through the Main Ridge Forest Reserve where she was able to enjoy the lush greenery. The day ends with a karaoke night and opportunity for great socializing and bonding with the members of JCI Tobago.
