Does anybody else feel like it should be Monday!? As much as I enjoy a long, holiday weekend, it sure does mess with my concept of time. It feels weird to say today is #TransformationTuesday but here we go! Though I’m almost 30 lbs lighter in the picture from Sunday, that’s not what this is about. This transformation is about the way I FEEL. Learning to accept and embrace who you are is a process. It’s crazy how society and what you think you should look like warps your self-image. I can honestly say that I’m much more comfortable in my own skin now than even when I weighed 100lbs or less while I was dancing. I had this unrealistic image of what I was supposed to look like. I did very unhealthy things to try to stay so small. My mindset and self image were so distorted and warped. Now, imagine my distorted thoughts after I had a baby and the weight would NOT come off. It’s taken work and I’m definitely still a work in progress, but I’ve learned that how you FEEL is what truly matters. The scale has NOTHING to do with your worth or value. Aladdin party of 1. Yup, I totally went to a movie, by myself, on a Tuesday afternoon. And it was glorious. I do this about once a quarter and every time I ask myself “why don’t I do this more often?!” ‍♀️ So this begs the question, when was the last time you slowed down enough to intentionally do something FUN or relaxing, just for you? I know we all have seasons where this intentional time is hard to come by... but I’d love to know how you like to recharge? Are you a solo trip to Target kinda girl? Go for a run? Take a yoga class? Curl up on the couch with a book? P.s. The new Aladdin is so good, gave me allll the nostalgic feels & I totally cried when Jasmine & Aladdin sang a whole new world together.

I remember feeling completely in my own body. ⁣ ⁣ Sure I just lived through a very traumatic pregnancy , delivery and recovery, but it was more than that. ⁣ ⁣ There’s something that happens to your body when you go through . ⁣ ⁣ At some point, I’m not sure when, but my body stoped feeling like my own. ⁣ ⁣ Maybe it was a way of dealing with the pain that comes from learning that your body just doesn’t want to do what it should naturally do. ⁣ ⁣ Maybe it’s from the being pushed into my body to get pregnant, stay pregnant and stop preterm labour. ⁣ ⁣ Maybe it was the I lived through once Nora came. ⁣ ⁣ Whatever the reason I was, I was left with this shell of a body that didn’t even feel like my own anymore. ⁣ ⁣ To that girl who and doesn’t know where to start. I see you. Put one foot in front of there other and just start. No matter how scared, no matter how hard, just do it. ⁣ ⁣ One scary and terrifying decision I made to make change and I pull myself out of something I never thought I could changed everything.
