Mum Guilt . Oh this is such a thing. The last couple days whether its because I'm tired and hormonal or just because theres been a lot of change recently but I've felt mum guilt A LOT. . Having a newborn with a tot is hard. Not because Olly is naughty because he is pretty well behaved but everything just changes. Recently Ollys sleep routine has been disturbed, He's always been a breeze at night - sleeping until 8am but hes been screaming when we put him in bed then wakes at 6am. Hes seeming quite emotional and clingy too which can be difficult at the best of times. . I just feel awful all the time "am I giving him enough attention?" Does circles in my head continuously and it's such an awful feeling. Being centre of attention to being only half must be such a change for our littles but I know given a few years he will love to have someone to play/fight with all the time. . Even both kids staying with my mum tonight I feel awful/guilty about having time away because I know he would love to be here with us causing havoc. . [Werbung] Huhu ihr Lieben ❤ Hier gibt es heute nicht soviel zu berichten, außer dass der Wohnwagen bald fertig für die erste Tour ist. Not sure if you’ve tuned in recently to any of my podcasts but I’ve been talking a lot about balance. Or I should I say, talking people OUT of the idea of balance. Because life is never balanced (aka all in in perfect order). We are mostly and constantly counterbalancing imbalance. Example! I’ve been on the road for 3 weeks working like a mad woman, barely sleeping, “on” more than I like to be and parenting far less than is acceptable. So I have spent the last few days deep in parenting and home mode. So much so that some work projects were on hold. Yup because we went to the beach! It’s always about coming BACK to your middle. Ok this is far too deep for a short Friday insta post. But how do you handle the counterbalance juggle? I will write a bigger blog post about this soon for you. As a family you may know us Carters like a @McDonaldsUK every now and again so here is Jenson enjoying the new edition to the @McDonaldsUK Happy Meal - you can swap out the fries for cucumber sticks. I also managed to make it more enjoyable for him eating his greens by making cucumber Jenga! Obviously I won ‍♂️ @McDonaldsUK have also reduced the salt in a typical happy meal by 47 percent!
