We completed a marathon!! How? I've no idea tbh! It took us a solid 10 hours but we did it and I'm so proud! I don't know how many times we wanted to bail but we kept remembering why we were walking! The @kiltwalk was hard, really bloody hard but totally worth it for the money we raised for @miscarriageassociation so BIG thank you to each and every person who has sponsored us, you guys rock!! I certainly couldn't have done it without @euanwilson11 by my side though he kept me going the whole way! This year has been a bit crazy, as some of you know, in January I was told I had a pretty giant ovarian cyst, which grew to nearly a foot long from my rib cage to the pit of my stomach and weighing nearly 5 kilos. I had it removed in March, and one of my ovaries with it. Two months later, I've been told there is a fair amount of endometriosis on my one remaining ovary, an incurable illness which affects 1 in 10 women. It can create other cysts, seriously affect fertility, and cause a lot of pain. So me ( and little Dachshund Hugo) have decided to brave the Kiltwalk in Edinburgh on September 16th. (Both of us in kilts, naturally, and I'm sure he will spend most of his time in his little doggy bag!) If you could spare a couple of quid for this rubbish disease, it would be greatly appreciated, as the cause of it is still unknown, and cannot really be prevented.
