Success is the after effect of giving value. But success is better enjoyed with your loved ones. Why? Entrepreneurship is a hard and lonely road. We the changers spend a lot of time crafting our trade. Spend endless hours away from our family and friends. Some do it for the money. Others do it for the freedom to be with whom they love. I do it for the freedom, the family, the money and to show people that a runt like me has come a long way and they too can do the same. Just like the famous quote, “It’s not your fault if you are born broke, it’s your fault if you die broke.”

We recently had a great convo with one of our followers, @kastrati.lorik, about Søren Kierkegaard’s philosophy on anxiety. He basically says that anxiety should be used as a marker for the choices we make in our lives.⠀⠀ .⠀⠀ This is sort of at odds with the stoic view of anxiety. Epictetus’ own quote above does a good job of generalizing the view we have on anxiety. It is a negative emotion and, as a result, brings nothing positive to the table. So we are better off letting it go to focus on better things -whatever is in our control.⠀⠀ .⠀⠀ We think the truth sits somewhere in the middle. Anxiety comes in many different forms. We can get anxious about dying when we drive, or we get anxious about an upcoming test/exam, or even in social situations. Either way, we are most anxious about one thing: the future.⠀⠀ .⠀⠀ So what do we do about something we have no control over? ⠀⠀ .⠀⠀ Let it go but try to understand where it comes from. Get to the root of the problem. If you’re anxious about a test, maybe you’re anxious because you haven’t studied enough. If you have social anxiety, maybe you should force yourself to be in more social situations and practice speaking to other people.⠀⠀ .⠀⠀ Whatever the issue, there is always an ACTION you can take to resolve it. That action is only existent in the MOMENT, completely independent from the FUTURE.
