Não é fácil transmitir a sensação de conseguir vencer um desafio, ou superar momentos de crise e tristeza. Desde a primeira vez na qual fiz um esporte que não conhecia, ou caminhei em uma trilha longa, acampei nos desertos e subi montanhas tudo mudou radicalmente dentro de mim, e não só fisicamente. Nos últimos 4 anos andei mais de 7.000 km , e muitas vezes olhava pra frente e pensava que não iria conseguir vencer o obstáculo do dia. Subi montanhas que me pareciam gigantes, atravessei rios de degelo com muita correnteza, acampei sozinha em desertos, na neve, nas montanhas e em 90% do tempo sozinha em trilhas também habitadas por animais selvagens como ursos, cobras, aranhas, escorpiões, leões da montanha. Confesso que em muitos momentos minha vontade era parar e sair da trilha correndo; voltar pra casa, tomar um banho e esquecer tudo. Mas nunca fiz isso . Eu sabia que apesar do medo eu tinha na minha frente uma ótima oportunidade de fazer algo novo, de mostrar pra mim mesma que eu consigo aprender a descer cachoeiras dentro de Canyons, que eu consigo cair numa água muito gelada com insetos, cobras de água, aranhas e outros animais boiando em volta de mim e nadar até a próxima cachoeira. Apesar de todos os medos, sempre respirei fundo, fui em frente, e consegui!!!!! Andar pelas Sierras sabendo que alguns caminhos eram muito perigosos, altos e estreitos, sair do Grand Canyon, olhar pra trás e saber que confiei em mim mesma foi meu maior presente nesses longos 7.000 km. Muitas vezes ninguém estava lá pra ver, mas as trilhas são tão magnificamente completas que me faziam companhia só por estarem ali, embaixo dos meus pés. Eu sei que os meus medos ainda estão aqui dentro, mas sei também que a minha coragem consegue supera-los, muitas vezes às custas de muitas lágrimas que veem do fundo do meu coração. Lágrimas de alegria e às vezes de tristeza também. Enfim, o que importa mesmo é que hoje eu acredito em mim e em tudo que posso fazer sozinha se a vida não me brindar com uma companhia que realmente queira estar ao meu lado. Até hoje essa foi a melhor definição de liberdade que eu encontrei!

Sagelva Romsdal. Sagelva Hydropower Center in the Romsdalen valley is built on the remains of the old local saw mill. Where the rivers Asbjørnsåa and Ulvåa meet, this is a perfect place to demonstrate in full scale the history of water power exploration in the region. Sagelva tells the story of how the power from the water has been exploited in more than 300 years. The centre has a history dating back to the 1700s. Then it was a saw mill and a flourmill, and a clothes press was added around 1845. Now the old sawmill has been restored, and has become a water energy centre. During the summer season, our local guides can give you a tour and demonstrate the band saw, circular saw, a modern power plant and a water-driven mill, amongst other machineries.
