Just hit a new PR of 265 lbs. on bench press this week, after not being able to get more than 250 for several years. Making progress is such a great feeling. It's an indicator of hard work paying off

No matter what it is that you do, whether it's lifting, running, swimming, basketball, yoga, or even your job performance, just make small incremental improvements over time, and eventually you will achieve more than you thought you could. This is how GROWTH happens. Why invest all that time on something if you aren't going to get better in some way?

CONSISTENCY wins the race

Also a big shoutout to my spotter @holdenchavis30 for making sure I don't break my neck
Haven't given y'all any #reardelt tips in a while, so here's a new one that has been working for me
-
Lately I've been using slightly heavier weight on rear delt raises. It might look like I'm doing cheat reps, but really I'm just using the overload principle. The rear delts are such a small muscle and you can't really overload them effectively like you can for larger muscles with compound movements. So this is a way that you can isolate them under a lot of tension
-
You also don't have that big of a range of motion to work with. Once your elbows get near shoulder level, the traps will start to take over. And once you get the weight down by your hips the tension is taken off the rear delts
-
Don't try this if you aren't used to doing rear delt raises already, as it's a movement you have to consistently work at before you find a groove
-
This one switch has led to noticeable rear delt gains. Give these a shot and let me know what you think
