Nicholas Reeves, has revealed that it was originally made for a female pharaoh, probably Nefertiti. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As we see in the another 3 pictures, the mask portrays Tutankhamun wearing a nemes headcloth, topped by the Ureus with the cobra goddess Wadjet and vulture one named Nekhbet, symbolising Tutankhamun's rule of both Lower Egypt and Upper Egypt respectively. . اهرام بزرگ جیزه، مصر The Great Pyramids of Giza, Egypt ===================== Photo by: @100.pixels ===================== Tag your pictures with #ancient_iran_and_world مجموعه اهرام مصر یا اهرام جیزه نام مجموعه اهرام تاریخی در گورستان جیزه یا گیزا است که در حومه جنوب غربی قاهره در کشور مصر واقع شده است و قدیمیترین و تنها باقی مانده از عجایب هفتگانه دنیای باستان به شمار می روند. مساحت جیزه در حدود 8 کیلومتر است. هرم های سه گانه، عظیم ترین و باشکوه ترین سازه های ساخته شده در تاریخ بشر به شمار می روند. این هرمها از حدود 2550 پیش از میلاد ساخته شده اند. مصریان قدیم اعتقاد داشتند که فراعنه پس از مرگ به خدایی می رسند و بنابراین مقابرشان می بایست بسیار عظیم و غیر قابل نفوذ ساخته شود. مصری ها زندگی کوتاه این جهان را فانی و مرگ را آغاز یک حیات نوین و جاویدان در دنیایی دیگر می دانستند. زمانى قرار بود اهرام مصر تخریب و از مصالحش برای سد نیل استفاده شود، مهندس پروژه «لويس لينانت» با محاسبات ساختگى نشان داد كه استفاده از سنگهای جدید ارزانتر است و اینگونه اهرام را نجات داد.
