It really encourages me and makes me so much more confident in writing on here when people come up to me and show their interest in what I have to say. I really appreciate that kind people, even strangers, go out of there way to say they are reading what I'm writing and like reading it. I find it very hard to be open and vulnerable on social media, something that can be so hasty and negative. So when people, even the unexpected say positive things about it, it really lifts my spirit. I have to say how thankful I am for those little or a lot of things people have to say because it really means a lot and is taken on board with gratitude. Every comment counts and shows the importance of sharing my story, to allow people to connect and understand what I have to say. Shooting the 1968 Bear Tamerlane target bow using a low anchor point to encourage better back tension. A lower anchor point will naturally create better skeletal alignment and back engagement. However like most traditional and barebow archers I use a higher anchor point and sacrifice some alignment in order to get the arrow closer to my eye. A new eye in the making! ️ This is what a prosthetic eye looks like before it's painted. . I was fitted for a new prosthesis yesterday. This is my second eye with my wonderful ocularist, Sherry. Adults are typically refitted every five years, unless there are any significant changes to the socket (surgery, disease, injury, etc.). . After a terrible experience with another ocularist, I was hesitant to see anyone else. It was 2014, and I was living with a 30-year-old eye - the same prosthesis I wore when I was six months old. My socket hurt constantly. The eye was so small that it would spin around and sometimes fall out. I had to do something. . I am so glad I went to see Sherry! She listened to me and made me feel comfortable from the start. She made a beautiful eye that fooled my eye doctor into thinking it was natural. She's also a total sweetheart. I always look forward to seeing her. She feels like family. . She'll be painting my eye this week, so I should get it in the mail soon. Is "I can't wait to get my new eye in the mail," a brand new sentence?
