Mientras planeábamos el viaje estuvimos mucho tiempo debatiendo cómo hacer el recorrido entre Aswan y Luxor. Las opciones son tomar un crucero por el Nilo, que significa ir en tour organizado, lo cual detestamos, o hacerlo de forma independiente, que significa negociar con conductores que nos lleven a cada lugar. Al final decidimos hacer un tour de 4 días/3 noches porque ya que estamos en Egipto, ¿cómo no vamos a hacer un crucero por el Nilo? y porque era nuestro 5 aniversario queríamos hacer algo especial. Al final, fue todo lo que imaginábamos, la navegación por el rio fue espectacular, pero las paradas en los templos fueron decepcionantes. No por los templos, que se te cae la baba de verlos, sino porque todos los barcos llegan al mismo tiempo, así que los templos están llenísimos de gente, no se puede ni caminar, es imposible sacar fotos y los tiempos de exploración son limitados a 20 o 30 min. No nos arrepentimos de haber hecho el crucero, fue algo diferente y muy bonito de verdad, pero nos quedamos con las ganas de disfrutar los templos a nuestro ritmo. ¡Una razón para volver a Egipto pronto! . . We decided to do a 4 day/3 in spite of disliking organized tours. In the end, it was everything we imagined, the navigation by the river was spectacular, but the stops in the temples were disappointing. Not because of the temples, which drools you to see them, but because all the boats arrive at the same time, so the temples are full of people, you can not walk, it is impossible to take pictures and the times of exploration are limited at 20 or 30 min. We did not regret having done the cruise, it was something different and very nice indeed, but we were left with the desire to enjoy the temples at our own pace. Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light ✨ ••••• Luxor was incredibly safe at night in Egypt. I walked around solo and it’s so much calmer than Cairo. The sun kissed temples of the day come alive once the sun goes down.
