A cute new pan this morning • • I've come to realize that I do actually get a lot of use out of single cream and liquid shadows, which was surprising but very evident when I started keeping track of pans and empties! It's also part of a larger theme where I feel like I'm approaching an eyeshadow saturation point, where it really makes more sense for me to purchase singles or individual colors, rather than larger palettes. First day of grad school! • • SWIPE for a surprise! (Hes my new roommates ) Yesterday was my first day on campus for my graduate program I wont start classes for a few weeks but I should start in the lab later this week! I chat more about that in my first video stories, if you caught that yesterday! I wanted to wear products that I knew would hold up and that I trust! • • Probably unsurprisingly, this features many of the products I've hit pan on! The @ofracosmetics bronzer and highlight in Rodeo Drive never let me down, and the Tartelette in Bloom is my go to palette for more natural, professional looks. I also LOVE the @alamarcosmetics blush in Paradiso, it's the perfect everyday blush! I think I'll be finishing the @tartecosmetics lipstick in Siesta this month! I think I'll try to dupe it in my collection before repurchasing, but it is (obviously) my absolute favorite so I would be willing to repurchase if I cant find a good dupe that I already have. The @revlon foundation is really nice (and a good shade for me!) and I'm working on finishing it up, but I think I need to go for something even more long wearing tomorrow given the heat. • • What's your go to for "first day" or interviews? First Low Buy Purchase! ☺ • • Here's my little haul which is my first that follows since the start of my new low buy rules! Also super pumped to find the @stilacosmetics blue duochrome glitter - as I've started panning I've realized that I really do get good use out of single glitters like this, so I'm excited to use this one! • • Recently I've noticed that all my foundations are medium to full coverage, so finding this @firstaidbeauty tinted moisturizer was the perfect opportunity to try out a light coverage base. And finally, the @kevynaucoin products in this luxe packaging always get me Something about the tiny packages, sleek surface, and gold closures really just draws me in. I don’t do posts dedicated to a single product that often, but this is the oldest item in my makeup bag and now it’s time for it to go The @narsissist pro-prime smudge proof eyeshadow base is a product that can be essential for those of you, who suffer from oily eyelids. Even though I have extremely dry skin, my eyelids have always been pretty oily and powder eyeshadows wouldn’t stay on for longer than an hour. This magic in a bottle made every powder eyeshadow stay on for the whole day I tried all the other hyped up eyeshadow bases and none of them worked this was the only one that was able to help me with my issue It’s my third tube and this one I‘ve had for over two years now...there’s nothing coming out of it anymore - so it’s time to go ❤️ What’s your favorite eyeshadow base? Chopping Block Full Face • • These are the products I'm unsure about After today I think it's time to say goodbye to the Bobbi Brown foundation and the Dose of Colors highlight in Sol Mate. The foundation just does not sit well on my skin and feels a bit greasy. The highlight is beautiful, but definitely creates a dark stripe on my cheek. Sad, because I do love the blinding-ness of this highlight! • • On the flip side, I've found that I actually really like every look I do with the red and orange tones from the @anastasiabeverlyhills Subculture, so I think I'll keep it until I use up those shades! I've found the greens and blues a bit hard to work with, so I plan to use up the rest and then say goodbye. The formula is really loose, so hitting pan wont be too hard! ☺ • • The Urban Decay Naked lipstick will also be exiting - its just too much of a white based pink for my preferences. The rest of the products I'm leaning towards keeping but do need a bit more use. In particular, I'm trying to find ways to use the Fenty match stix in Linen. After a long time, the weather is finally back to (kind of) normal and I was able to put on a full face of makeup I am obsessed with my new @lauramercier tight line cake eye liner. My #augustfavorites ❤️ I was never into toners until I started using the @paulaschoice @paulaschoicede Advanced Replenishing Toner It’s so hydrating and gives my skin a very nice dewy glow - I am obsessed. The @bobbibrown corrector in Light Medium Bisque is amazing at cancelling out the blue under my eyes without drying out my skin. From @lauramercier I am obsessed with my caviar sticks! They last the whole day on my eyes, even with 30+ degrees Celsius I am extremely impressed ☝ Don’t want to use my powder shadows anymore ‍♀️ and I don’t even need an eyeshadow base for these shadow sticks. Powders wouldn’t stay on for longer than an hour on my oily lids without a base! I also fell in love with the tight line cake eyeliner.
