My wife doesn’t fight fair. A few months ago, we got into a pretty big disagreement and it changed our marriage forever. We were both going back and forth trying to get our points across, similar to many young couples. Our perspectives were all we could see in the moment and it just kept escalating. Finally, we stopped going back and forth and then the silent treatment ensued. We had nothing to say to each other. And then it happened, my wife went below the belt: SHE KEPT SERVING. It was like she didn’t care that we had a heated discussion. She still made dinner. She still cleaned. She still showed up. Marriage isn’t easy and there will be days when your spouse is your least favorite person but you still have to show up and serve. Marriage is sacrifice. Marriage is compromise. Marriage is not about being right or wrong. Marriage is being committed to your covenant despite how you feel. Thanks wife for proving time and time again that the only way to “fight fair” is to “fight together”. We are not in a battle against one another but instead the enemy. The problem I have with this quote is the word "change" because we shouldn't be trying to change anyone. People were created with free wills meaning they'll change whenever they want (or not). So, if someone doesn't fit the mode of what you need in a relationship, dont waste energy trying to change them which causes resentment, anyway. I always wondered if the walls in our home could speak, what would they say about the way we displayed Christ. Would he be completely disappointed or honored by the way we loved & treated each other. It’s so easy to show the “good” sides of our character when others are around, even at church, or in the work space but what about when no one is watching? Does our home reflect the love of Christ? I remember a time when it didn’t. More often than I imagined it would. When we first got married & I was working night shifts, I was constantly upset with my husband because it wasn’t fair that I had to work this job even though I chose it. I resented him. Said not nice things out of pain. Caused my frustrations to reflect onto him. Our home became a battlefield. A place where Satan was playing his best hand. As much as I wanted to believe it was Christ centered, our atmosphere said otherwise. When I realized I was allowing our circumstances to dictate our worship, I had to really ask God for his forgiveness. I was putting so much energy in the way things were unfolding that I truly lost sight to what God was doing in the midst of everything. My lack of trust was evident in the way I handled situations rather than going before God on my hands & knees and proclaiming your will be done. Even having Christ as the foundation, being church goers, & striving each day to live like him, we can become so comfortable especially to the ones closest to us that we lack grace & understanding. I want to encourage everyone to guard your heart & home. Fill it with worship. Make it a priority to spend time together glorifying God. Make more room for a peaceful atmosphere, replacing the war zone that has been created. Fight together not against one another. If there’s one thing I’ve learned living under the same roof, with us both being imperfect humans, is that forgiveness can truly bind together two hearts for worship in the midst of every trial, stronghold, & curse that tried to break us. Worshipping the Father together, sets the tone for complete healing as chains are being broken off within us. “For you have made us for yourself, and our heart is restless until it rests in You.”

❣If you want to play with the idea or notion of evolving Spiritually think again. If you really want authentic spiritual growth be prepared to be faced with many tests from all sides forcing you to grow to advanced levels. You'll always have to endure tests of faith and ill-meaning ppl constantly "being removed" from your lives (whether they think its their doing or not✌), because God doesn't discriminate, He'll move anyone out your way to keep your path clear Ppl shunning personal truth in exchange for the constant need to "be right" is a definite stumbling block. If you think this is what you want, be prepared to be treated the same as Jesus...ridiculed, blasphemed, with thorns and whips in the back from familiar faces, because it's coming.
