The WAY you learn about the Feminine is more important than WHAT you learn about the Feminine. Here’s an example. I’ve always been an A+ student. I was praised for it. I received gold stars for. When I was in fifth grade I received the “Principle’s Award” out of a couple hundred kids (I was bullied majorly that year. To this day, I’m more grateful for that award than most accomplishments— it gave me SO much joy). I have always taken pride in my ability to EXCELLLLL. So naturally, when I take a course or program as an adult, my nervous system reacts the way it always does— by jolting to attention, grabbing my pen and paper and taking notes about everything. I get INFORMATION FOMO. Last year, John Wineland and Kendra Cunov could have let this slip when they noticed it in me. They could have been like, “Let the girl have her notes!” But nope. And bless them for it. Because what they did was even more important than the words they were telling me. They gently brought to my attention my constant need to be hunched over, taking notes. More than that, we looked at how this was effecting both me and the rest of the room. The rest of the room couldn’t feel me. I wasn’t available. I wasn’t open. I wasn’t connected to them. I couldn’t feel the room. I couldn’t feel my own Feminine. I couldn’t feel my softness or my ease. I was in a state of anxiety, making sure I caught every last word about the Feminine so that one day I could be in my Feminine. During one of our feedback sessions, one of the men said “Madelyn, in order for me to trust you more I would need you to put down your fucking pencil and be with us.” THIS was some of the best feedback I’ve ever received. In fact, what I learned about relationships and polarity those eight months was important..but what I learned about putting away my notes and trusting that’s what meant to stick will stick was even greater. To this day, I rarely take notes in a seminar. I listen. And I feel the energy of the room. And over the last year, I’ve had more people tell me, “Wow…you feel really good. You are so centered. I could feel your energy from across the room. You feel so powerful.” CONTINUED
