@masquemilano : #lattesa Perfumer: @lucamaffei Bittersweet ‘fizzy’ full fledge orris to the power of nine. Floor polish wax (I feel a natural high whenever I smell the fumes ohhh ), melted candle wax, that smell when you snuff out a candle , tuber roots, vegetal, cold carrot skins, cool cellars, beer, yeast, ...all of orris facets present loud and proud. The champagne accord is really the fizziness that brings an effervescence effect to the orris accord. For comparison, this is not as angular as Iris Silver Mist but oh...it’s up there. I don’t detect any mysore sandalwood in the drydown which is sad (I love this note!). Oakmoss isn’t really present either but it’s bitter green aspect is something I can see melding seamlessly with the rooty orris. As the scent dries down, the texture turns grittier and sandy with a backing of general woodiness. The drydown ‘works’ with the first half of the fragrance but I wish it was richer, denser and more interesting to match the first half of the scent greatness, perhaps more mysore sandalwood Still full 100ml bottle worthy. Yes! I would respray this often to experience both the top and middle portion of the scent.
