Shiny breeding has been a real pain lately. Before I breed in my UM game I was breeding on my US (which I started a new save file) and over 2,500 eggs not a single shiny. I always have a thought that "Shitty chains will always remain shitty" and this seem to support my idea Yesterday I was stocking some Timburr breedjects and found a shiny egg in 165 eggs, which I then swapped into this Squirtle. This will be the mega member of the new team I'm building, and I'm deciding the rest of the team members Blastoise is one of 6 starters to get a mega evolution, and the boost is just what it needs. A pure Water typing makes it weak to only two types and strong against common types in the metagame. The ability Rain Dish seems useless as a pre-mega ability, but a bit of HP recovery is more appreciated than the never-used Torrent. The mega ability, Mega Launcher, is good with coverage moves such as Dark Pulse and Aura Sphere. For moves, Fake Out hits the opposing Pokemon first and make it flinch. Water Spout is the main STAB that is also spreaded, good to use when Blastoise's HP is still high. Dark Pulse is a type coverage that my other team members lack (my Kartana which is one of the candidates already has a Fighting coverage so Aura Sphere is not needed). LEGIT SHINY DARKRAI Nature: Timid Method: SR (~1,377) Ball: Master Ball After I caught shiny Deoxys in August, I really wanted to hunt for shiny Darkrai. Besides the void glitch in Diamond and Pearl, there was no way to hunt for it until I saw @the_shiny_suicune ‘s story about the DS Nintendo Network up and running again and being able to download old events. I did some tests on Soulsilver and it worked so I bought a copy of Platinum, and couldn’t wait to download the Red Card and hunt for this beauty. After my random encounter shiny Gligar, I thought this hunt would take ages but it showed up super quickly and sync worked first go. This is my 500th post and shiny Darkrai is definitely worthy for it.
