BREAKING: Multiple People Injured At Memorial For Nipsey Hussle ~ A crowd of hundreds of people who amassed in front of The Marathon Clothing store in South Los Angeles to pay their respects to slain rapper Nipsey Hussle stampeded from the scene after a possible stabbing, police say. ~ The peaceful vigil turned chaotic Monday night near the intersection of Crenshaw Boulevard and Slauson Avenue when people began scattering across the packed parking lot. ~ At some point, a stabbing occurred. 4/2/19: Nipsey Hussle memorial last night, temporary halted by chaos. Conflicting reports on what exactly caused it. Last night, as has been done since Nipsey Hussle’s tragic murder. Fans/loved ones/supporters/neighbors gathered in the parking lot of Nipsey’s “The Marathon” business for a candle lit vigil to honor the slain LA icon. Although last night things got a little out of hand when it was reported injuries occurred at the vigil, and many conflicting news reports were trying to pin down what exactly caused the commotion and injuries there. Many “reputable” news networks reported that there were shots fired as well as stabbings that led to the crowd’s “stampede” away from the vigil, though plenty of attendees have taken to social media to share that THAT wasn’t the case at all, up until LAPD tweeted that they believe there were NO shots fired and that all injuries were minor at worst. Now that LAPD basically squashed the rumors of at least the shooting. It is assumed that what happened is amongst the HUGE crowd of people, people heard the sound of glass breaking as well as the commotion that that itself caused and it led people to believe they were in danger and caused the roughly thousands of people to run for their lives, and that’s when people were caught in the fleeing crowd and injured by fleeing attendees, as well as glass on the ground of the parking lot they were falling on. There were also reports of a person or two being struck by vehicles as they attempted to flee although I believe that is still unconfirmed though if it did it was a complete accident that fortunately didn’t lead to much harm. It’s a shame this had to halt Nipsey’s memorial and even a bigger shame that the news/people were reporting that violence occurred and that lead to the disbandment of the memorial. Either way I imagine this vigil will happen ten fold and there will be plenty of calm/peaceful vigils with no hectic interruptions to combat this one that was temporarily halted by chaos.
