- Yes, we bleed! And hell yes, it matters!! And still, so many of us, both women and men, are trying to act as if it’s something that’s not actually going on, something to be ashamed of... when it’s quite literally the most normal and profoundly magical thing. A woman’s womb is her energy centre. Her powerhouse. Her wellness, creation and her health depends on the health of her womb and the connection she feels to it. So, shouldn’t be do our best to honour our moon cycles? Shouldn’t we be speaking up about our bleeds, instead of pretending silently that everyday of the month is the same for us? I think it’s time. Time to educate ourselves. Time to talk about these things openly and honestly. Time for women to reconnect, to their own bodies, and each other. Time to celebrate, rediscover sacred ceremonies. Time for men to get onboard, with the fact we bleed. Time for the world to treat menstruation with the respect and understanding that it deserves. Because we bleed, and it matters. Amiga, mulher...(ou homem que me lê e convive com uma mulher)...saiba que tudo isso que você experiencia todo mês está relacionado com como você se conecta com a sua feminilidade, ser mulher, com sua mãe e suas ancestrais, com o fluxo da vida e de toda a natureza. . According the World Bank 2018, at least 500 million women and girls globally lacked adequate facilities for Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM). These girls use old rags, cloth, leaves, newspaper, tissues, blankets and the list of unsanitary material goes on and on. These girls lock themselves up in a room, miss school and don't carry out their daily activities when they are on their reproductive cycle. What is worse is that there is a taboo and social stigma that is attached to this topic and all of these issues combined have led these girls to be trapped in this vicious poverty cycle that is passed on from generations to generations.
