For so many years, I felt like I needed 'permission' to experience pain. It was always dependent on how others would speak or react. Or more to the point, how I would predict in advance how others would react to me if I expressed my authentic experience of pain or suffering. I was so good at hiding, always choosing to abandon myself in order to prioritize someone else’s comfortability. On top of that, I judged myself for hiding from what weighed heavy on my heart. My agenda was to keep peace and to escape from the feelings - the feelings of unworthiness, of not wanting to be a burden, the longing for a connection that was not reciprocated. What a gift it has been to no longer seek the approval and validation of others and to finally give myself permission to feel whatever I am feeling, without trying to manage or fix it, but to instead infuse it with my own unconditional love.
In a moment of pain, hurt or anger, when you find yourself activated and full of energy, you need not follow the same old path of self-abandonment, shame, blame and self-agression, especially during times when you need yourself more than ever. Pause, take a breath and choose something different. Flood yourself with a loving, connected presence. Instead of turning away, turn towards yourself with love and compassion. Just this time. Even if for only one or two seconds, that is enough. A whole new world is born from that.

Hey Strawberry Moon! ✧ This feels a long time coming... Last night i awoke to a burning desire for change, it felt like the distractions had stopped working and I can no longer ignore this passion inside me. I feel like I'm being called to take a look within again and make some corrections to the way in which I'm speaking and living my truth. I'm being called to get more clear and intentional with my wants, my needs, boundaries, my communication about all of that and dedicate time to my higher self. Anyone else feeling this intense firey energy? Full moon in Sagittarius it may or may not resonate, take what you need from it, but if this speaks TO YOUR SOUL then this message is for YOU too. Self work doesn't have to be hard, it's not really that we're trying to fix anything. I feel like it's more about acceptance and love for who we really are. And that means getting real with yourself and others about how you really feel. No more apologising for being your authentic self! are we saying yes to things that we really want to say no to? Are we waiting for someone else to accept and approve of our ideas instead of believing in ourselves? Are we being co-dependant? Are we putting our desires and dreams on hold.. Are we waiting on another person to be ready... maybe it's time to take the leap ourselves. Maybe WE ARE the person we've really been waiting for. Maybe we already have it all within US. And Maybe it's finally time to trust that.
