I have never been a “dogs allowed on the furniture” type of person. However, with the new addition of our dog/dingo, Winnie, we have been way more lax and allowed her to lie on the sectional. And then, the boys thought it was mean that our big dog couldn’t be up there too. So things got really out of control! Well, folks, these dogs shed like nobody’s business. One has tufts of flyaway hair and one has small pointy hairs that stick to everything. I spent a couple of hours vacuuming and scrubbing the cushions yesterday, and now the dogs are relegated back to dog beds. I’m avoiding their sad puppy dog eyes. I will not be swayed again.

The Great State of Wisconsin is our home. We have four seasons, and even though Winter is the longest, we wouldn’t have it any other way. This is where my roots are deep, Since 1839, and our families are strong. One of our favorite vacations is going Up North in our very own state. The woods are thick and smell strong of pine, and the Lakes are gorgeous with nothing in them that can eat you. It’s our time to bond together as a family, while we enjoy the lake and scenery. We went tubing, Jason went knee boarding. We visited @wildwoodparksafari which has become a tradition. It was a great, relaxing trip! You can watch it on The Lawrence Network!! Every year, I plan some sort of Great Lakes trip. Last year, it was the Lake Michigan Circle Tour with a side goal of sticking my toes in all 5 Great Lakes. 2019 is all for the views - I'm currently near the most northern point in Wisconsin (waaaaaay up north) and along Lake Superior. This is Apostle Islands National Lakeshore with 22 islands and a bounty of sea caves. There are boat trips, sea kayaking tours, bike trails, and lighthouses to check out . Pictured: After the drive, I needed a good hike. We set off for the trail at Meyer's Beach to see some of the sea caves from above. Overtime, ice, wind, and waves from the lake have dug out massive cliffs and caves on this part of the Lakeshore. We ended up hiking a little over 4 miles along the Lakeshore Trail and finished it off with a refreshing jump in the deepest Great Lake . Keep following along this weekend.
