My first purchase from #minnewyorkperfume is turning out to be the kind of scent that keeps you constantly aware of the fact that you are enjoying its presence and makes you want to smell your wrists again and again. It opens with dominant notes of patchouli and violet leaf, and a hint of incense, all blended beautifully to create a warm, ozonic, floral vibe. Overall the fragrance smells like dried rose petals laced with violet leaf that's non medicinal, incense and patchouli. I know from my earlier testing that this one is good on longevity (up to 8 hours) and has a decent projection. Very glad that I chose it over Coda (on my wishlist). Update: After a full day's wear I can only say that my appreciation for this scent has only increased. I was aware of it throughout my day at work and it continues to envelope me even after I've changed to my home clothes. This thing is a beast longevity wise. In terms of notes, I think the most prominent note is actually Patchouli, but it's not the kind you often encounter, this is a very smoky kind of Patchouli. Imagine a top quality blend of the refined cardamom vibe of Tom Ford's Oud Wood with the earthy and dark notes of Zegna's Javanese Patchouli. Don’t let this picture fool you, I had the most amazing time at the @woodlark_hotel. This was by far the best hotel I’ve ever been too! SOTD: CODA by Min New York. True to the brand DNA with its typical smoky facet, Coda opens with an unusual fresh eucalyptus top note, mint and cypress. SOTD: Plush by MiN New York. It is a weird one. Very green galbanum/aldehydic/plastic-like on top, then white floral/powdery/honey in the heart and more ambery/musky in the base. Very complexe and facetted. A hint of citrus freshness, some spices, leather and creamy sandalwood.
