I think it’s no secret that I love a good plant moment. My studio is full of leafy greens that I work hard to keep alive. The inspiration I have surrounded myself has slowly crept into my work, and now alongside minimal landscapes I have a variety of botanical and citrus related work. . I’ve had this painting for over a year, it’s been tucked away in my studio. I had it hanging at a gallery, and then it came back to the studio and I tucked it away. . I’ve been thinking about my trip to the Badlands of South Dakota last fall. I was so inspired by the landscape and wildlife, but life has gotten in the way of that inspiration until now!
