Find joy. Find joy. Sometimes this world doesn’t make any sense at all. Diabetes in a baby makes no sense. The death of a beautiful, young, brilliant author, @rachelheldevans makes no sense. It’s so devastating. You can add your own pain - for we each carry it, don’t we? I don’t understand why things unfold the way they do - but I take comfort in that i know the one who does understand. Making quilts seems sometimes so trivial in the midst of the world’s pain. A quilt cannot make the world right again. But it does remind me that there is a God who sees all the broken pieces. And he sees how they all fit. And I believe He is stitching them together again. And until that redemptive work is done, we cling to the joy that we have in Christ, knowing that if anyone get it, He does.

I’m working on a new set of patterns! Whenever I talk to people about their #scrappymountains , they say how much they like them and love mountains and then follow up by telling me how they are planning on modifying the foundations so they can make overlapping mountain ranges. Which is a totally awesome idea! But kind of tricky with the current set of foundations. So I’ve been working on a new set of #scrappymountainranges They are pretty darn cute! I’ll post a picture in the next couple days and the patterns will be out by Mother’s Day. Yay! Tag someone you think would like them too.
