Save this post if you are looking forward to travel tips with toddlers ‍‍ - So a lot of you guys asked me about the long (read 24 hours) flight ✈️ we undertook last month. Well, the short answer is - it was memorable. The long answer: well it took a lot of planning and effort on part of my parents to make it a pleasurable memory! . . Few pointers that may be useful: . We almost had no Jet Lag! The secret is taking a flight which lands in the morning and spending few hours just before landing in sleep. . Credit @emirates for being a kid freindly carrier. Did I tell you they have a separate menu only for us kids with colorful food and cutlery and #FlywithMe Animal range of toys which kept me engaged and excited? I collected Peek U the Panda and Savannah the elephant . In addition to that, Emirates has partnered with @lonelyplanet to create activity bags containing travel content tailored for children. . My mum kept some of my favorite activities like sketch pens, stickers, sticky notes handy . Well these 'silent' distractions were useful just not for my parents but the entire strenght of the aircraft! . No playground? No Problem! We strolled around the aisle every few hours! Waving to strangers, smiling to new faces and finding way back to the seat was an adventure in itself! . Never forget the cabin crew! Apart from the usual assistance to my parents, I was getting chocolates from them just for being good! . And it's ok to give screen time on the plane, after all it helps everyone's sanity on the plane. You can keep it interactive, show us the air map , tell us how you are flying over water or snow clad mountains or deserts or the interesting story of the country you are passing by. We are all ears! . Keep a plan B! Talk to your doctor if any medicine can be recommended for your kid to make them sleep. My parents kept this as the last resort but yeah, they did plan to sedate me! . .
