To all of the wonderful moms on this little app, I hope you had a Happy Mother’s Day! I didn’t post yesterday or engage on IG... Instead, I took a break from my staged mom life (I’m taking a lot of breaks lately!) to enjoy some time with my kids and husband. How did you spend Mother's Day? Sharing something a little personal. My mom @athenindian_ and I spent mother's day together working on a special project I created for her, as part of my blog. She told me the best part was getting to spend so much time with me! I felt it too and I was so happy to share the experience of doing a shoot with her. Time is indeed the most precious gift you can give her, we get so busy with our lives that we often don't get a lot of time to spend at home. Late mothers day post- I can’t begin to describe how blessed I feel to have these two amazing kids call me mom because words fall short. I remember I always wanted to be a young mom. I imagined myself on the floor laughing with them, playing hide and seek, chasing them all over the house, baking cookies and making Sunday pancakes, singing them to sleep and praying together while telling them over and over again how amazing they are... Fast forward to 2019 and BBAAAAAMMMM living the dream with our two amazing kids who I love more than life. So to my kids: You make me a better person, a better mother, a better woman. You make me look to Jesus for strength, love, patience and kindness. You make me vulnerable, scared and excited all at the same time. I look at you and my heart fills up with pride and love. It isn’t always easy- we have cried, yelled, felt angry, sad, lost at times... but know that I will always and forever hold your hand and guide you the best that I can ❤️ Thank you for everything that you do for me- thank you for making me your mami.
