✨️ Here is my finished mural for the Google Merchandise Store! ‍♀️ The goal was to show the @Google campus as a vibrant, bustling beehive of activity and ideas. And to paint all the unique and offbeat landmarks to give visitors a glimpse into the Google community. This was one of my favorite projects to date, I've never had more fun working and it was such a happy opportunity. “So how did you get hooked up with Bass Pro?!” is a question I get asked quite a bit. If you don’t know, after college I started a “painting company” (which basically meant I just filed an LLC) and started painting logos for businesses around town. I kind of fell into the logo niche and about 6 months into it I was recommended to Bass Pro. Their calligrapher was quitting so they needed someone to fill the void and travel around to their newly opening stores. . ‍♀️uhhh yes please!! . I didn’t even know this kind of job existed until the friend who referred me called to tell me about it. I had done a lot of networking in my early 20s which led me to meeting this friend and helping him promote his business (I did promos before painting full time). We had worked together several times in the past year so he was aware of my work ethic and gave me rave reviews. . I went in for a quick interview, signed contracts, then flew down to Bristol, TN, for a crash course on what it’s like to paint with the big boys at my first Bass Pro store opening. I went from painting a couple days a week to BAM 60+ hour weeks on the road for Bass Pro for several years. It took a while to get used to that kind of lifestyle but painting 6 days a week quickly and drastically improved my skills! Not to mention working around some of the best artists in the country. Having mentors like that are seriously invaluable. Fast forward to today: ‍♀️Yes, I still paint for Bass Pro (I get that question a lot too) but they just aren’t building a lot lately which means there are no new walls needing painted. So nowadays I’ve gotten to work on my local clientele and am loving it! I’m super passionate about the business side of art so getting to stretch my marketing wings feels pretty good. Sleeping in my own bed is definitely a perk too. I really feel like I was super fortunate to get that Bass Pro gig at the absolute perfect time in life. It’s funny how things just work out when you put yourself out there and do what you’re meant to be doing. ‍

Así quedó este mural para @bianca.fabian . Diferente el diseño y me encantó hacerlo. Partimos de imágenes de , ‍♀️, , cascadas!!! , agua!! Que divino!! varias también!. Colores agrisados, con muchas sombras y negro. Hojas en primer plano para dar volumen y paisaje a lo lejos. El diseño lo iba armando a medida que iba pintando, dependiendo de lo que queríamos mostrar! Los que te parecieron?! Las plantas!?!?! A mi me encantó tiene muchas cosas, muy cargado, y con esa lámpara y hamaca me copó. Que les pareció a ustedes ? Se animan?. El cuarto es amplio y muy luminoso!!!!
