Who here hates plain water?! ♀️♀️♀️
.
I’ve been seriously spoiled in having so many different Doterra oils to put in my water that I have learned to HATE drinking plain water!
.
These are my absolute favs!! Lemon, slim and sassy, wild orange, lime, grapefruit, and tangerine!
.
One drop of oil in anywhere from 1/2-1 cup of water is what I have found to taste best. Depending on the oil and my taste buds that day my mixture always changes!
.
Any of these citrus oils help to boost your metabolism, give you energy, and keep you hydrated!
.
What’s your favorite? ❤️
Who else is in LOVE with our new Island Mint blend?! ♀️
.
I went out to water the ponies after lunch and was definitely feeling that midday slump. I put a couple of drops in my palm and rubbed my hands together. A couple deep inhales from my palms and I was feeling all of those refreshing summertime aromas. ☀️
.
Looks like I’m going to need to buy a couple more bottles before they are gone!
.
What are your go to oils to get through that midday slump? ❤️
I feel like every season of my nursing career this far has revolved around having to deal with toxic people. In nursing school, I had a professor tell me (after failing a course) that I just might not be meant for nursing. Looking back, I can honestly say she was a very HURT person and hurt people hurt others. Nursing school is such a subjective thing. Just survivor and know that once you get into the real world, you get to THRIVE & LOVE in such an amazing and intentional way! .
.
.
Working AS a nurse, I had to deal with some insanely toxic nurses. It was actually the reason I launched my first blog. I felt there was so much negativity & toxicity in this profession & I wanted to shed a positive light on it. I swore to myself that I will ALWAYS treat others woth kindness & respect, regardless of my circumstances. Most people who treat you poorly are hurting on the inside. While I truly do care about their personal “pain”, no one should have to suffer from side effects of the lack of self-care of others. .
.
.
Then there was “that manager.” This woman was T-O-X-I-C and I have no clue how she kept her job. I was basically forced to leave to protect myself and I totally burned a bridge.....but guys....let the bridges you burn light the way !!!
.
.
.
What I learned from all these toxic people?
.
.
.
You gotta advocate for yourself and do what’s right for YOU! .
.
.
You have to create healthy boundaries. Create distance or leave when necessary. Separate your emotions from the words & actions of others and realize it’s not you! You can’t put a cost on peace of mind. .
.
.
It taught my how I will NEVER EBER treat others and how I wanted to make a positive impact on the culture of this profession bc it is so deeply needed! .
.
.
So if you’re going through a rough time, learn from it. Advocate for yourself. Create boundaries & take control of your emotions, your career, & your LIFE
