This triple spiral symbol is engraved on one of the stones inside the Stone Age passage tomb of Newgrange in County Meath, Ireland . . Newgrange fascinates us and we definitely want to pay a visit. Especially on the Winter solstice when the sun illuminates a specific part deep inside, which is cloaked in darkness the rest of the year! . . The symbol itself is quite a famous Celtic symbol called the Triple Spiral/ Triskelion, or Triskele . . The symbol actually predates the Celts arrival to Ireland and Europe by thousands of years! This symbol was carved in to the stone over 5000 years ago and Newgrange itself is said to be that old too! So predates the Pyramids and Stonehenge . . While no one knows what the symbol meant to those who carved it, we know that the number 3 was important to Celts and this is widely accepted as a Celtic symbol now . . Today the symbol is related to the triple goddess in neopaganism and Wicca, but is has multiple meanings including, the three world's / mind, body, spirit / life, death, rebirth plus more. We will definitely be looking at this symbol again!

Posting my solstice pics a bit late this year! I was in Mt Shasta celebrating the light there which was very powerful and honestly knocked me out energetically for a few days. Experiencing the rebirth of the sun through intentional ceremony or ritual will have a great cleansing effect in the body. Whatever is ready to be sloughed away will be cleared and it’s normal to need this period of rest after solstice. ☀️ I brought my group on a guided shamanic journey to Newgrange this year to experience the magestic rebirth of light within this sacred megalithic temple. For me there is no other place on earth so powerfully intentional to harness the light of the winter solstice sun. It travels down a 78ft megalithic stone passage to light up the inner chamber as if bringing fertility to the womb of Mother Earth. 5000 years ago the people of Ireland were sun worshippers and looked to the cycles of nature to guide their lives. This is a lost art and way of living that is slowly reemerging again. We are currently in the age of the winter solstice when the Light of consciousness is rising again cleansing the darkness.
