If you asked me five years ago if I ever thought I would have sculptures in different countries I would said no way. I never thought I was good enough. Yesterday I hand delivered the third replica of Color Blind to my client and he asked me how many I’ve made. When you say something out loud in my experience, it makes whatever it is more real. So it felt pretty amazing to say I have three replicas: 1st in Florida, USA, 2nd to Brussels, Belgium, 3rd in Mexico City, Mexico (the original is in Connecticut). I plan on making one more - I only want five out there, including the original. I’m so thankful for all of the adventures and countries this piece has taken me to and that it inspired more work that made me realize that people relate, respond and purchase a lot of my other pieces - not just this one. That’s just unbelievably grounding. I’m so glad I’ve made it to 25 years old, I feel like I’m just getting started, and have a million things to live for. 5 years ago, that wasn’t the case. Art is healing, universal and amazing. Needless to say, I’m glad I didn’t force a career path that was known to be lucrative. Having a job that you make up yourself might be a little tricky, but I am going with it and enjoying this ride! Fly| this is probably the heaviest spring cleaning I’ve done in a long time. I had to let go of many things; material and not so much, in order to truly breathe. And I had to do that without holding on to what they “used to do” for me or “how they used to make me feel.” Otherwise, I would continue to allow them to affect my energy and peace. I feel good, I feel lighter..I’ve cleaned my wings and now I can fly again. So many amazing things are transpiring and I know that it would not have been possible if I didn’t let go of what no longer served me. Freedom is beautiful especially when you fought like hell to get here. Spring cleaning is more than just cleaning out your basements, closets and swapping out clothes. I have more space in my heart for genuine connections, opportunities, laughter, memories, deeper understanding and knowledge.. BUT most importantly, I am able to be more present.
