Was ecstatic to have sculpted the muscle faces for John Travolta and Nicholas Cage for the movie Face/Off at Kevin Yagher’s back in 1997!!! Here’s a little story... I remember feeling bad for Nicholas Cage the day we life cast his entire body by building basically an outline body coffin! Well actually a guy Dave Miner at the studio did. So let’s just blame him. Okay? Okay. We then mixed up 5 gallons buckets of back in the day what we called alginate. I could be wrong but I think we ended up mixing about 20 buckets!!! Keep in mind, this is before Body Double or MouldLife life casting silicones. When we bolted the top on him and flipped him over I remember when we got Nick out he was a little cold. He then asked Kevin... “You got any whiskey?” Kevin said, “ Uh... no.” Nick said, “Uh okay, I gotta go, bye.” Nicholas was a cool cat. Down to earth and real. Especially for letting torcher him.
