Just got a call from the vet that his surgery went great! The surgery was a bit longer than usual, (2.5 hours) and it took him a bit longer to wake up than expected, but when he woke up he was being snuggled by a vet tech which makes my heart happy Little man loves his snuggles!! I’ll be picking him up in a few hours and I cannot wait to see him!

I love my job ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I had a great conversation with @ameliarose.ca today. I often get the question “when are you going full time”⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I honestly am not sure I ever will. I love photography, but I also really love school and the work I do. I don’t think I could give up either. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I am extremely luck to be in a position where I have the time to do both, and still have a healthy social life. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ My hope is that I will still continue to do both throughout my whole life. This doesn’t mean that there will periods where one “job” will take precedent over the other, but as long as they are both making me happy then there is no stopping in sight! ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ Also, thanks to @kris.tiann for the pic and being the best second photographer a girl could ask for

Throwback to one of my favourite mornings ever. I feel so lucky to live so close to these views (although it doesn’t feel that close when you have to wake up at 2:30am to drive out for 5am sunrise). Sometimes as I’m driving out in the darkness, dreading the 2.5 hour drive and not knowing if it’s even going to be a nice sunrise, I sit there wondering if it’s even worth it. Many times I’m tempted to hit the snooze button and have breakfast with my family. But when you power through, you are rewarded with views like this. A different view of the Belliveau Cove #lighthouse Usually I’d shoot something like this with a 10-stop ND filter to smooth out the ocean. This time I tried the multiple exposure feature in the camera which combined 10 separate exposures into one. Definitely leaves more detail in the water than shooting with an ND filter.
