Skincare heroes for sensitized skin - Have you had one of those days when anything you apply in your skin stings? That’s probably irritated/ sensitized skin. I am good at avoiding it but sometimes it happens. Recently, I started retinoic acid (only once a week). Everything was going well until... I made a stupid decision of trying a 2-step sample that included an exfoliant pad. Bad mistake. Nothing wrong with the sample - just bad timing. - What to do when skin is sensitized? Drop all “strong actives" (vitC, retinoids, BHA, AHAs...) Go back to basics: hydration, repair & protect Summon skincare heroes - Here’s a 3-step PM routine made of heroes: 1️⃣After gentle cleanse, I applied #Bioderma Matricium Skin Regeneration Treatment - a recovery treatment comes in single-use sterile ampoules (1 ampoule = 2 uses: AM & PM), which is my go-to when my skin’s barrier has been compromised (burn, over-exfoliation, extreme dehydration, etc). Feels like water, sinks in secs and only contains elements that are naturally found in the skin and are essential to cell life, function and regeneration. Never fails me.
