Here are some bullet points of what I have personally implemented in my life for the past year to achieve happier skin.

•Cut out sugar from my diet completely and implemented a Keto lifestyle

•Discontinued the use of coconut oil on my face as it is extremely comedogenic (aka doesn’t penetrate the pore and sits like a wax on top of your skin)

•Replaced all sugary fruit juices and sodas with h2o. LOTS of h2o. Like a gallon a day for me.

•Discontinued the use of physical exfoliants (just say no to St. Ives apricot scrub) and I now use Tretinoin
(prescription-strength retinol through my dermatologist) The Ordinary also has wonderful chemical exfoliants that are very budget-friendly.

• I apply The Ordinary Rose Hip Oil nightly on any of my acne scars/hyperpigmentation. It takes a couple months to start seeing results so have patience!

•I only cleanse my face at night. I just splash my face with water in the morning and then go in with my toner/moisturizer. For my skin type, it prevents overdrying (aka my skin doesn’t need to overproduce sebum to supplement)

NEW RECIPE! Easy Butter Cookies keto | low carb | paleo | gluten free .
Super simple recipe for #ketoszn Each cookie has 0g of sugar, 10g healthy fat and only 5g of carbs.
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup almond flour
2 tbsp coconut flour
1 tsp baking powder
3 tbsp granulated monk fruit sweetener
¼ cup butter OR coconut oil melted
1 egg
INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Whisk together almond flour, coconut flour, baking powder and monk fruit.
With a rubber spatula, mix in oil and egg.
Transfer dough to piping bag fit with a large star tip.
Pipe butter cookie shapes, starting in the center and spiraling outwards making a circle. You can be as creative as you’d like with the shapes! (If you’re not comfortable using a piping bag, just scoop into normal cookie shapes and bake the same!)
Place on baking sheet and bake for about 12 minutes.
You can decorate these cookies with melted 100% dark chocolate, unsweetened coconut butter, nuts, coconut, or any keto friendly topping you’d like!
Let cool for 10 minutes before enjoying!

I couldn’t decide if I wanted almond butter toast with banana or berries so I did both!

I used frozen berries, warmed them up and muddled them into a ‘jam’ and topped it onto almond butter toast.
For banana toast I sliced half a banana and topped another piece of almond butter toast.

When choosing bread, I always look at the fiber content and advise looking for around 5 grams of fiber per serving I’m also not always a fan of gluten free bread because it tends to have a ton of junk added to its ingredients list to make it taste similar to bread ♂️Sometimes it’s better to go for the real stuff!
