L’intramusculaire ou plus communément appelée la piqure dans les (quart supéro-externe de la fesse ⚠️ au nerf sciatique et à l’artère glutéale supérieure), le (deltoïde ⚠️ au nerf et à l’artère radial(e)) ou la ‍♂️ (muscle vaste externe de la cuisse). Il s’agit de l’introduction sous pression d’une substance médicamenteuse sous forme liquide dans l’épaisseur du tissu musculaire . Souvent utilisée pour l’injection de vaccins ou d’ATB, elle est couramment utilisée en psychiatrie pour permettre à l’équipe d’apaiser le patient en situation de crise ou dans le cadre d’injections retard. Et bien sûr lorsque la prise per os est impossible ! I started my first IV yesterday! I’m definitely feeling more and more like a nurse every shift! My critical care theory class has me turned upside down though. We had a huge computer glitch with our last test resulting in people getting different numbers of questions on their tests so now the teachers are having to manually grade them. Hopefully it gets sorted out soon and they find a fair solution for everyone. Only two more weeks left and I will officially be done with the toughest course in my entire program. I’m also only a month away from the halfway point of nursing school and I feel so fortunate to still be more in love with this profession every day. I graduated from TSU with a Bachelors in Nursing and a minor in Psychology in May 2017. In August 2017 I took my first NCLEX for my RN licensure, I failed at 265 questions. I was so discouraged but I had exciting things happening, I moved to Atlanta with my best friend and time got away from me. I moved home to Michigan in November 2018. My second exam was April 1, 2019. Prior to this exam I was told that if I was not successful at passing my exam before August 2019 I would not be able to be licensed in Michigan. I failed AGAIN with 265 questions. I knew I was smart but this really got me down. I turned to other nurses and so many reached out offering different studying materials, sharing testimonials, and providing encouragement. I went back to studying. I studied at work, at home, on weekends, I even cut out things that I loved doing to study. I prayed every night. I took my predictor exams before my third exam and both said a very high chance of passing. My third test was May 20, 2019. Before I hit start I asked god to help me to overcome this obstacle, to give me the strength I needed as I could not do it without his help and guidance. I got all 265 questions. I walked out feeling DEFEATED. I knew I failed and began to question if this was the career for me. I decided to do the Pearson Vue Trick. I got the good pop up! I couldn’t believe it so I went on Michigan LARA site. I logged in and there it was! My RN license had been issued and was now active.! I was ecstatic, It seemed surreal. What I had worked so hard for was FINALLY mine and I obtained it right before I entertained the thought of giving up and changing my career path. Moral of the Story: Never give up ! Right when you are about to give up could be the moment you are going to succeed. God will not put you through obstacles he doesn’t think you can get through. All you have to do is believe and remember that he may not be on YOUR time but he’s ALWAYS ON TIME.! I am proud to say that as of May 20, 2019 I am officially a Registered Nurse and I would like to thank god, my family and friends who were on this journey with me.
