I know different cultures have their version of Okro & Egusi Soup. I particularly LOOOOOOOVE the Cameroonian version. However on today’s episode of “Adventures of an Enjoyment Professional ”, I present to you my version of Okro & Egusi Soup.⠀ ⠀ This is a very simple and straightforward recipe to follow. The trick that takes this soup from fabulous to totally awesome is bleaching the oil slightly and frying your Okro till its nice and crisp.⠀ ⠀ Able God !!!!!! All I can say is please do it! The toasty nutty flavours from frying the Okro first is indescribable and the fact that I cooked this outdoors on charcoal infused the aroma of my grandmas village into the soup !⠀ ⠀ A big thank you to the number one Ogbonge Palm Oil mama of Africa @udyfoods. I was at her house a few weeks back and I did not leave empty handed!!! She gave me a bumper package of fresh village Palm oil and assorted spices.
