When I talk about overall health including mental health and physical health, I always underline the fact that health is sooooo important!
The biggest treasure that we get in this life is a perfectly functioning healthy body.
For me health plays a significant role, but it was not always like that.
I remember the times I was drinking alcohol, sometimes eating unhealthy food.. also my mental health was not perfect.
After years of more or less unhealthy lifestyle, I discovered a very deep feeling of respect and gratitude to my body and it's overall magical functions.
I realized that it is a PERFECT CREATION BY NATURE, same as flowers, trees, birds or mountains.
This recognition and conviction changed my mindset and lifestyle completely.
I started giving my body and soul only the best of the best.
I did a lot of research and thus realized that my body and soul can heal themselves.
I just have to give them the right conditions to do so.
Treat your body like a treasure, because it gives you this beautiful life-experience.
Love yourself more.

The two things that keep me motivated to workout (and actually I really do like working out, especially outdoors, so I don‘t really need to motivate myself ) are 1. how good I feel afterwards and 2. the thought of how important it is for my overall health (mental health & body)
Of course there are days where I don‘t feel like moving my body at all. I then usually go for a walk with my dog or stretch for a litte bit. Listen to your body✨

Ahhh, the elusive six pack. For many, it's the holy grail of fitness. But does your life really change after you've achieved one?
First, let's briefly talk about how to obtain a six pack. Generally speaking, you have to reach a level of leanness where your midsection is lean enough to show the abdominal muscles underneath. This level varies, but a good rule of thumb is under 10% bodyfat for men and 20% for women.
You'll probably benefit from getting leaner, but there is little additional benefit between being "lean enough" and being in six pack territory.
You are not stronger because you have a 6 pack
You are not healthier because you have a 6 pack
Mine are popping to say hi because I set myself a goal to get lean this year before I hit menopause BUT it doesn’t make me stronger or better than anyone.
The sense of achievement when you get to a goal makes you realise that self-doubt is in your head and changing yourself is completely within your control BUT it won’t make you happier. To be happier you have to accept who you are first
