Let's talk about the symbolism of moths for a moment and what they teach us. Moths symbolize rebirth and a renewal of the soul. They are determined and have a certain vulnerability to them, as they are nocturnal and have to navigate through darkness to find light. They will do what they can to find it. Silkmoths (including the polyphemus and luna moths seen here) have very short life spans ranging from 5 to 10 days because they have no mouths and cannot eat so they essentially slowly run out of energy until they die. Their only goal is to mate and create more moths while they are alive. Because of this, they remind me that life is short and that we shouldn't waste time while trying to try to achieve our innermost desires. They are delicate and often become meals to bats and birds. Their eye spots are meant to ward off predators. The long tails of luna moths are meant to throw off bat sonars to make them think the moth is bigger than it is, and the tails will rip off easily if a predator catches them by it, giving the moth an escape. They are amazing little creatures, and are such gentle little warriors that somehow find ways to navigate through their short lives. I love working with these beautiful forest spirits. Nothing will ever make me feel more at peace than watching them and letting them crawl on me. They are beautifully sad creatures that deserve nothing but love (and also their own moth emoji). Honestly wish I could say today was awesome but it kinda wasn't. On a plus note, Salem, NH was actually amazing. America's Stonehenge was beautiful, I loved the alpacas and I honestly wish we stayed there all day instead of going to Salem, MA. Salem, MA honestly just put the worst taste in my mouth. I went once before but I had a lot of fun because we did all the museums and stuff and I was so excited about all the shops and overall so excited to be there. Today was a different story. It was pretty irritating having people stare at me and make rude remarks by "normal people" about how "weird" I look yet there they are standing in line to buy a spell kit as a joke or a t-shirt that says "I got stoned in Salem" or "worth burning at the stake for" t-shirts. I love the old buildings and the museums and it's fun to see some of the shops but I don't really ever want to return there. Too gimmicky for my taste and it was kind of offensive tbh. I'm glad I have been there just because of the history and it was fun the first time, but I dont ever need to be going again. I was really happy to see a shop that sold only tarot decks that were independent and self-published as well as lots of local artists' work, and I like walking through the shops in general cause the decor is always lovely. On top of that, while we were driving I thought we were about to die because a pickup truck in front of me had trees sitting in the back completely unsecure and 3 of them fell out and flew toward my car. Thankfully they landed on the ground. Couldn't sweve around it so I had to drive over it. Thankfully Zach, myself, and my car are totally fine but that's had me shaken up since. As sucky as most of the day was, I actually kind of enjoy these days when we get to be just very annoyed together because it gives us things to laugh and shake our heads at later. We also had a pretty bad lunch and we've been having a laugh all night over it. At least we have that...and so America's Stonehenge being amazing! That was definitely more my thing and I can't wait to go back there! And I got to experience it with my favorite person @zachsnaturewalks who actually took this photo of me!

I have 20 amanita vial jar necklaces going into the shop today! Made double whatbI made last time. They all have varying stones such as emerald, amethyst, citrine, tourmalinated quartz, moss agate, and rose quartz. Each necklace has a cork on top so you can add your favorite herbs or a little piece of cotton with your favorite oil on it. Most of the amanita necklaces will be $32 but I did make some smaller ones that will be $28 The shop update goes live today at 6pm EST! Not doing presales on these. ☀️Please note the mushroom caps do not screw off, I've gotten some questions about that.
