Ok I couldn't help it, here is what everyone really wanted to see. I'm beating thur crap out of the pivot hammering the knife into an aluminum block. This is exactly the result I expected. Let's face it the pm2 has a thin tip. It's part of what makes it a great knife right? So it's not surprising it broke. I guessed less than or up to an inch because I knew I would be really beating on this. But forget about the steel for a second and look at that pivot! Took it like an absolute CHAMP. It is hard to tell on camera but I am really smacking this thing and it never gave any play. It ever so slightly loosed the pivot during all the tests but very very slightly but a tiny turn of the screw and it was as good as new and actually a little smoother than before. Doing this negated some asphalt stabbing tests so I won't be doing those on the pm2. I did a little edge testing with the 20cv. The tip did great but the edge had what appeared to all be rolls. I didn't see any chipping but the spot by my finger in the second pic was the closest to a chip. I'm kind of surprised by this actually. The edge has held up amazingly with less aggressive cutting. It finally stopped shaving hair after lots of use and breaking down an 8x6' box. All on the factory edge. So many things to be thankful for not only this time of year but every day. My beautiful wife and first born have a birthday right at Thanksgiving so it's easy to be reminded of how blessed I am.
