Happy bank holiday! What are you guys up to today? We are planning that traditional bank holiday event, a barbecue to christen our new patio and outdoor sofa made from reclaimed scaffold boards which is almost finished (thank goodness I hear you think, maybe she’ll stop banging on about it now!) We just need to treat it and possibly add castors, still not sure about that as we’re struggling to find affordable castors that we like (well what I like Mr G’s not so fussed) but I quite like how low it is to the floor, castors would add about 4 inches to the height, so might leave them off. I’ve also added these lovely @madamstoltz sofa cushions I bought them off the peg rather than have some made as I found that is SO expensive. It was coming out at around £300 just to have some plain seat cushions made (not even fancy french mattress style ones) These were about £125 for the two so much more affordable (and come in lots of lovely fabrics) I just need to add some scaffold pipe fixtures on the back of the sofa to hold a parasol, cheap and it means we didn’t have to find space for a bulky parasol base. And that’s it, still got lots more things to make, but I hope you’re enjoying my garden make over posts, last weeks was my most popular post ever! #AD Oh hiii! Just swinging into a Monday like because number 1, kids are back to school/nursery number 2, this absolutely bloomin’ gorgeous chair/table set I’ve been gifted by @georgeatasda is making me very happy! It’s the Arizona bistro set and words can’t describe just how much I love them ( do the scrolling thing to see a close up) They’re totally weatherproof, including the grey seat cushions so can be left out in any weather and my god those chairs are super comfy! Plus number 3 yes that is a corner of the long awaited scaffold board sofa you can see. It’s not finished yet, still need to seal and sand it but it’s looking ace, good job Mr Gromsk! Apparently there’s a heat plume (whatever that is) heading our way from Spain for the May Day weekend so you know where you’ll find me ALL weekend!
