I just a wanted to share my experience with Polydioxanone (PDO). THREADS. On the left is definitely the worst picture I could find, taken in January just before my procedure. The picture on the R) is post two PDO tx approx 1 month apart, my head is forward in this picture. I had more threads to the dominant side (usually the one you sleep on, quiet often your right side from sun damage/driving). Approx 8 - 10 threads in total. The evening of the procedure I experienced tightening of my jaw and face (found it difficult to open my mouth to eat) and some pain that was resolved with paracetamol. The next day there was slight discomfort - resolved once again with paracetamol. For the next one week at times there were small areas of swelling and warmth - almost like an infection was coming but it never did. I related this to sleeping on that side of my face the previous night. (Sleep on your back) At the two week point I could not feel the threads until I bent down to touch my toes - felt a little pulling and sometimes a little snap like the barb had dislodged. It felt like an electrical shock !!! I resumed to F45 gym work out with in a week (advisable to avoid strenuous exercises for a month until the threads start to bind into the deeper layers of skin) How ever I basically taped my face up so tight like I was strapping my ankle for a game of basketball, I made sure my threads weren’t going to move during my gym work out. I looked rediculus but for only 45 minutes. 2 months onwards I’m still extremely happy and would recommend this treatment to anyone who doesn’t want the invasive procedure of a face lift. I have been fortunate to learn this by one of the best Korean Masters. I‘m still a strong advocate for sun screen to protect against skin damage and Melanoma (for my dad Rest In Peace) ❤️ Anti- wrinkle treatment will always be a necessary commodity keeping those wrinkles at away.
