My top 4 tips for waterpropagation
Swipe to see close ups from the roots!
Tips:
1. I use a transparent glass
2. I change the water every 3-4 days.
3. I wash the roots when I change the water.
4. I place my cuttings on a bright spot without direct sun
A lot of people wrote me if I use some rooting hormones. No, I don' t , I just use normal tap water
What I love about propagation?
One thing is, I get a new plant for free, and to watch the progress and see roots grow roots is just amazing!
Why do you propagate?

My snake plants leaf cuttings propagation in soil. Some babies have grown bigger than the mama leaf. Time to repot them. You may watch how I propagate them in my Youtube channel "huge belle & madi"

Waterpropagation
Here is a pic of my plants I propagate at the moment.
I love to do this so much! Watching the roots grow is so interesting.
Here you see Zamioculcas, Monsteras, Sansevierias, Monstera adansonii and Alocasia cuprea
I have them on glasses with normal water on a bright spot without direct sun.
If you want to try to propagate here my advice: Change the water every 3-4 days

Two questions I hear a lot are how do you know when to repot, and how big should the next size be?
It really all depends on whats going on with the roots. A general guideline is that you can repot a plant when there is a solid root base established, which is usually when 2/3 of the pot has an intricate visable root system. When you do go up a size, ONLY go up ONE pot size at a time. Potting up too big too fast may actually shock the plant. More soil holds more water, and the plant may not be able to drink the new increased water amount fast enough, and may actually just drown
If you have a plant with an aggressive root system, like this Peace Lily, you may need to give it a root prune to keep it manageable. This poor Peace Lily is so root bound, most if its roots are not even touching soil. These 'naked' roots are not helping the plant at all. Since they are not touching soil, they are not absorbing any water or nutrients, and are actually costing more energy from the plant than they are offering. It is okay to trim them off. Gently pull the root ball apart, and trim away any pieces that are not growing in the soil. Make sure you do not accidently cut the roots in the soil, or leave cut roots in the pot, or these severed roots will begin to decay and will encourage rot and mould to grow in the container. If you're not sure of it's ready to go up a size, then wait a bit longer, just in case. Or you can always send me a picture, I love looking at plants

Pupper is happy with his growing #sansevieria hair style Check our that single “hair” behind his ear
It’s so amazing at how the new growth can grow into the grow into the cylindrical spear we all know. Take a look at 2
I just watered pupper and his hair. Since this #westelm pot doesn’t have a drainage hole, it makes me be more aware to how much water I should give it. Typically I water pupper ever 1.5 - 2 months with 60 - 90 mL of water. Not too much, but also enough. The amount of water I give changes depending on how my environment changes
