It’s true — I won’t always be sunshine & butterflies, sometimes I will be more blisters & bruises. I will be more raw & unfiltered than you are used to seeing and i’m not sure if that’s something to be sorry about. Some days I will wear my smile upside down, but i trying. I am trying. I am trying. I could only hope that you believe me when I chant “I am trying”. It is not my fault that the past is a gun that has created a trigger out of me & i am learning how to put a lock on my reactions. This is the reality of being human — I am not perfect. I will not polish out my errors to make you more comfortable. We are fragile despite the stigma to be poised. We are capable of breaking. We are also capable of putting ourselves back together. I mean, doesn’t our skin do a beautiful job at healing itself. We are all healing in some way. I am learning to see my wounds as the openings i’ve needed to be able to flourish. And I will tell myself every day to wear my scars like constellations, so I never lose sight of myself on those days that i only know to radiate night. — #EVRogina

I let you touch your pinky finger to mine, when no one’s watching, let my knees touch yours, only to see you gasp and then, I look at you, trying to hide it under a giggle. I let you look at me, when I’m eating icecream, with more than half of it sitting on the wrinkles of my dress. I let you fall for me, when I’m counting the stars out in the balcony, I let you mock the way my nose is crooked, I let you observe the strands of my hair covering my eyes, when my head is on your chest and I’m counting your heartbeats. I let you cause me pain, the kind that makes me want to let you go. I let you love me like I’m yours to love, I let you breathe heavily on my neck, inhaling my scent, while I can hear your heartbeats, against mine. I don’t know what goes on in your head, when you move your fingers on my waist, like you’re giving music to your favourite song, which one was it, again? Or is it the song, which you never listen to, but it is always on your playlist. I don’t know what goes on in your head, when you caress my hair, or place a kiss on my forehead, I just know, that I let you, love me that I let you love, me that I let... you love me.
